BLACKFRAME SOCIETY PRESENTS: THE RESERVOIR

BlackFrame Society is taking over The Reservoir in Philadelphia for an entire day built around photography, modeling, creativity, and collaboration.
We’re kicking things off with a two-hour hands-on workshop designed for photographers, models interested in understanding the other side of the camera, and creatives who want to push their work further.
BlackFrame photographers Michael Castro and Drew Babineau will break down lighting, camera settings, posing, framing, composition, editing, location scouting, and the creative process behind building a shoot from an idea into a finished image. This isn’t about telling you there is one “correct” way to create. It’s about showing you how we approach our work, why we make certain decisions, and helping you develop a process that works for you.
We’ll also hear directly from industry models about their experiences working within the creative community, what makes a photographer stand out, what makes a shoot work, and what they’ve learned from being on the other side of the lens.
Then we open the doors.
After the workshop, you’ll have six hours to create inside an industrial warehouse featuring eight dedicated photo and video sets. Bring your camera. Bring your ideas. Bring the concepts you’ve been waiting for an excuse to shoot.
Photographers will have the opportunity to create their own work, collaborate with models and other creatives, experiment with the different sets, and book sessions with Michael and Drew.
And there’s something bigger on the table.
The work created at The Reservoir could be your opportunity to be featured in BLACKFRAME SOCIETY ISSUE 2.
We built BlackFrame Society around the idea that creative people need more than another social media feed. They need places to meet, experiment, learn from each other, take risks, make mistakes, and actually CREATE something.
On November 14th, we’re giving you the warehouse.
