On the night before Halloween, the lights go out at the Empty Casket Museum.

Join us for a special 45-minute private lantern tour through the Empty Casket Museum of Mystics & Mediums at Starlight Academy.

 

With the museum dark and illuminated only by the glow of candles and a lantern, we’ll guide a small group through our collection of historic talking boards while sharing the strange history, forgotten stories, folklore, and people connected to them.

 

You’ll hear how talking boards emerged from the Spiritualist movement, how they found their way into American homes, and how more than a century of séances, superstition, tragedy, Hollywood, and legend transformed a simple talking board into one of the most feared objects in the paranormal world.

 

Some boards have history.

 

Some have stories.

 

And some have stories that are better told after dark.

 

Each tour is limited to just 8 guests, creating a quiet, intimate experience unlike our normal museum visits.
