Stone walls. Iron bars. Heavy doors designed to keep men away from the world, and sometimes, from their own fate. Established in 1879 and in continuous operation for 116 years, the Old Blackford County Jail is a silent witness to a century of crime, desperation, and consequence.
From its booming industrial "Gas Belt" era to the rumored stays of notorious figures like John Dillinger, this jail has housed sheriffs, their families, and the condemned alike. Today, it remains one of the most intact historic jails in the region, featuring a rare, functioning cast-iron turnstile that still leads into the heart of the cell block.
Season One: The Origins of the Movement
This investigation officially launches Season One, a curated journey into the Spiritualist Movement. In a building designed to suppress the living, we will attempt to reach the spirits that remain. Along with modern investigative tools, one special session will focus on Ancestral Communication Methods, the raw, low-tech techniques used in the 1800s to speak with the "other side" before technology ever existed.
