The Witness Key

The Observer of Thresholds

The Witness holds the "eyes" of the Order. Your journey begins with the arrival of a Handmade 3D Brain Teaser Wooden Box. Within this vessel lies your Membership Card and the Bronze Key, the physical proof of your appointment to the 2026 Registry.

The Challenge of the Key

Your initiation is not passive. Your Membership Card contains a cryptic cipher that must be decoded. This code is your only way to authorize the release of your equipment. If solved, your professional investigative tools will be awarded to you at the first gathering.

What You Will Earn

Over the course of the season, Witnesses are awarded a 5-Piece Professional Ghost Hunting Kit. This kit serves as your permanent arsenal for documenting the Thorne Inheritance and includes:

The Extended Vigil: Beyond the Midnight Hour

Membership in the Order grants you access to the primary investigation from 8:00 PM to Midnight. However, for those whose work is not yet finished, the Order offers the opportunity to deepen the immersion.

Important Note on Availability: Due to the fragile nature of these historic sites and our strict limit of 8 participants, these extensions are granted based on availability and on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to secure an Extended Vigil, please inquire with the Registry Master during your check-in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a real paranormal investigation or a scripted show?

It is both. The locations we visit are genuinely haunted, and our investigations are unscripted and professional. We use real equipment and authentic methodology. However, these investigations take place within the "world" of the Thorne Inheritance. The story provides the reason we are there, but the activity we capture is 100% real.

How much time does this require?

The physical investigations take place on scheduled dates throughout the year. Between those dates, the "immersive" elements (ciphers, emails, or mailings) are designed to be enjoyed at your own pace. You can spend ten minutes a week on the mystery, or hours diving into the lore, it’s entirely up to you.

Do I need to be an actor or "in character"?

Not at all. You are participating as yourself as a new member of the Order. There is no stage to stand on and no lines to learn. You simply show up as an investigator. Your natural reactions to the history and the haunts are what make the experience authentic.

What happens "between events"?

This is where the mystery lives. Members may receive "leaked" documents from the Order’s archives, cryptic messages that need decoding, or even physical artifacts through the mail. These pieces of the puzzle allow you to stay connected to the story and the other members even when we aren't at a haunted site.

Do I need my own equipment?

While you are welcome to bring your own professional gear (K2 meters, recorders, etc.), the Order provides the necessary tools for the missions at hand. Part of the experience is learning to use these tools properly to document the "Unbound."

Is this scary?

We aim for atmosphere and tension over "cheap scares." Because we are dealing with real history and real paranormal activity, there is a natural level of intensity. We respect the locations and the spirits within them; we do not use actors to jump out at you.

Can I join if I miss the first event?

Because the story is a continuous narrative, we highly recommend joining at the start of the Registry. However, if keys are still available, the Order will provide "catch-up" archives so you can step into the mystery without feeling lost.
